Early morning walk on the beach in Saksild Strand

The night was quite cold in the tent, the outside temperature was about 10 degrees Celsius. I had to put on extra clothes to keep warm during the night.

In the morning I went for a walk on a beautiful sandy beach near the camp. The water temperature was probably around 20 degrees. Some people were in the water. On the way back, I stopped at the grocery store to have some breakfast. I had another long traveling day ahead of me with over 800 km from the north of Denmark to the center of Germany. Most of the trip was on the motorways.

Motorway blues

Denmark has got a lot of farming land with lots of grains and corn. There are also many wind turbines, because there is wind almost everywhere in Denmark. Motorway speeds are around 110 km/h. Some sections are faster - up to 130 km/h, but they are rare.

After crossing the German border the traffic intensified and there was quite a big jam in Hamburg because of road works. It was hot, up to 29 degrees Celsius and it wasn’t pleasant to be in a traffic jam. Even though I was moving between the cars in lines it was slow speed and didn’t really cool me.

I arrived to my destination, Friedrichsdorf near Frankfurt at 9pm. I got my key and went into the room.

Today’s route was 856 km long and the trip counter stopped at 9 669 km.
