Ugly weather

I travelled from Mo i Rana to Trondheim today, that was about 6.5 hours on the bike. Shortly after I set off it started to rain, and it rained most of the time, sometimes heavily. It also got colder, from 20 degrees Celsius to 14, so I had to stop at the SOS station in one of the tunnels to put on the thermal layer in my jacket. The scenery was not very interesting, mainly forest, a few lakes and small villages. On the last part of today’s route there were more villages and grain fields. This part reminded me of the Swiss countryside.

At some point, water leaked into my BMW GoreTex gloves, which are supposed to be waterproof. I turned on the grip heater to compensate, and after a while I stopped, took out the leather gloves and put the rubber rain gloves over them, and that solved the problem. The boots were better. They kept the water out well.

When I arrived in Trondheim, it stopped raining and I found a hotel and checked in, and the receptionist told me that I could park my bike in the nearby parking garage, where there are areas marked MC where I can park for free for up to 24 hours. The parking garage is then locked between 10pm and 6am.

Later, I went into the old town and took a few photos.

I drove 507 km today and the total counter stopped at 7 143 km.
