Day 32: From Friedrichsdorf to München

Towards München via Würzburg and Nürnberg

I In the morning I packed my things and set off for my last stop before the journey home. My first destination was Würzburg, where I drove around the city a bit. It's an older city with an old town, but I didn’t have time to visit it this time.

From there I drove on to Nürnberg, left the motorway there and drove through the city center. I'd never been to Nürnberg before and wanted to see what it was like.

I was expecting some traffic jams because it was Saturday and there was so much road work going on, but there were only sections where the traffic was a bit slower but not congested.

My destination today was Zorneding, a small town east of München, where I was invited to stay with friends - a young couple from Slovenia who live there. I arrived about 4:30pm, showered as the weather on the trip today was quite warm, around 27 degrees Celsius. Then we had a dinner and talked about their life in Germany. They have two boys who are still in elementary school. They have rented a nice house in this town. It only takes them about 30 minutes to get to the center of Munich. They like it there.
