My friends from Belgrade told me that I have to see the Decebalus sculpture. It is located on the Romanian bank of the Danube river and it can be easily seen from the Serbian bank, where I was traveling. The sculpture is a carving of the face of Decebalus, the last king of Dacia, who lived AD 87-106. The sculpture was carved between 1994 and 2004 and it took 10 years and twelve sculptors to complete.
