Pirot

Pirot was my next stop for a few days. I had some business to do there and got to know the town and the surrounding area with the help of my friends from Pirot. The town's landmark is the Tigar Tires industrial complex, now owned by Michelin. It manufactures tires and provides work for around 4000 workers from the region.

During my stay, I tried some of the delicious local food and desserts and got to know the surrounding area. The town is close to Stara Planina (translated: Old Mountain), which rises above the town and offers wonderful views and hiking trails. The Bulgarian border is also not far away.
